BROWN & BANCROFT COMPLETES REFURB AT ABC BUILDINGS

PUBLISHED: 04/09/2019

Brown & Bancroft Interiors has this week completed a refurbishment project for Allied London at ABC Buildings on the corner of Quay Street and Lower Byrom Street in Manchester city centre. The property, which sits on the edge of Allied London’s renowned St. John’s development, was built in three stages between 1959 and 1965, and has been re-worked to celebrate its Modernist clean lines and audacious design details while introducing contemporary office principles to create respectfully eclectic accommodation.

Appointed in May, the BBI team has been responsible for taking the 2nd, 4th and 5thfloors back to Cat A standard ready for marketing and occupation, totalling in excess of 20,000 sq ft.

Paul Brown, managing director at Brown & Bancroft Interiors, said: “This first phase of improvement works at ABC Buildings marks the beginning of a wider refurbishment programme to bring this 1960’s classic back to its best. Having known Allied London for a number of years it has been great to get the chance to work with them on this project and to be a part of the St. John’s story.”
