KINGS CHAMBERS PHASE 1

Brown and Bancroft Interiors was invited back for its third project at Latham & Watkins’ Manchester office with a brief to create a unique collaboration zone that better facilitated staff engagement and communication.

Moving away from the usual corporate law firm style, the ‘coffee shop’ has been designed with a retro feel and features telephone booths for quiet calls or focused working, soft meeting areas for small gatherings as well as an informal café zone and hot desks. Investment in the latest workplace technology has also seen the installation of a software system that measures frequency of occupation in each of the designated areas. Created as a pilot scheme, and in the hope that the ‘coffee shop’ will be rolled out in other Latham & Watkins offices, the gadgets will inform the evaluation process and future developments of the concept.

“Once again Brown and Bancroft have delivered an excellent, high quality project. Their open and honest approach, together with a proactive attitude has ensured the success of this exciting new environment for our business.”

Bill Owen, Director of Design and Construction, Latham & Watkins LLP.
