Bartlett Group, an independent insurance and financial solutions specialist, appointed Brown and Bancroft Interiors to deliver a £2m refurbishment project at its Leeds HQ in 2018.

Fast forward 6 months and the 20,000 sq ft office space has been transformed into a modern working environment which allows staff a choice in how and where they work.

On-site facilities have been improved throughout the campus to give the workforce access to great meeting spaces, the latest IT infrastructure, a library, quiet working zones, a large canteen and gym with washrooms. In addition, a new front of house area provides a striking reception space alongside small meeting rooms, formal boardrooms and a large business lounge which has been created to cater for more personal meetings in a relaxed setting.

A new training facility has also been introduced to provide a dedicated area for guest keynote speakers and in-house knowledge sharing sessions.                                               

Richard Bartlett, joint managing director at Bartlett Group said: “We have owned our Horsforth site since the 1960’s and while it has served us well, we realised that to continue attracting and retaining top level staff, as well as top level clients we would need to update our facilities. We have been on a fantastic journey with our workspace designer Howard Powsney to update the overall design of our offices, improve employee productivity through the introduction of agile working and better support employee well being through the addition of an on-site gym and a canteen at the heart of the office featuring pop-up restaurants etc. Brown & Bancroft have worked incredibly hard to deliver our vision and were instrumental in its success – the transformation has been truly phenomenal and we look set to surpass all the goals we set out at the beginning of the project.”
